Homefield alpacas is situated in a small Lincolnshire village called Great Carlton, which sits at the edge of the very picturesque
Lincolnshire Wolds and is approximately 8 miles from the market town of Louth.
Homefield Alpacas is a small family run business and was established in 2007. The first alpacas were bought initially as pets and to keep the grass down. We now have 16 Alpacas, a couple of Shetland sheep and some very happy hens.
Homefield offers a selection of natural coloured wool for sale, which includes Aran, Double Knit and 4 ply, plus a selection of natural rovings which is ideal for the home spinner and felter.
Chrissy has a background of designing and dressmaking and enjoys felting and experimenting with different textures.
In 2009 our first baby crias arrived, Athena (30th July) and Apollo (5th Augusyt). We have now introduced our Shetland fleeces and wool in a selection of natural colours.
In 2010 we had the arrrival of two girls, Bronte and Brode and Bounty a little boy. They are all doing really well.
In 2011 we had some beautiful Crias, two pictured here are (left) Clover with her mum Niamh and Charity with mum Fern.
